Nature is simple and Beautiful, Behadi River, Dhakti Kalwan, Nasik Dist....

While returning from home after Diwali vacation Oct.2016 we stop for some time to observe the simple form of nature outside the Kalwan. Its near Kolhapur fata. Its our common practice.
Geography of Behadi/Behdi River: -
Behadi is a seasonal river originates near Nanduri hills. Where one of the major pilgrimage place Saptshrungi Mata (Godess) is located. It is in the Satmala hill ranges (it is named Ajanta range in Aurangabad District)  Near Athambe village converge with Markandi river. It has water up to December. Its depend upon the last monsoons performance. It has few bands, catch its water and provide it to nearby small villages and padas. eg. Daregaon, Mohan dari, Chikhalipada, Gobapur etc. In monsoon it has volume of water and velocity is high. There are few pockets of sand deposits and bed rock. State high way no 17 is parallel to this river from Nanduri to Kalwan. There are large soil deposits on the right bank near Kalwan city, where it confluences with Girna River.(Major tributary of Tapi ot Tapti). Villages along this river are dominated with Konkana (ST)tribal  community. But these people here are relatively developed than other places because of intensive agriculture and good implementation of Govt. Schemes. Formal MLA Mr. A.T.Pawar has played  a major role in the development of this part. Undulating topography put some restriction on the agriculture development.
